Sunrise Study Abroad works with 16 Hungarian universities: 8 in Budapest and 8 in Debrecen, Szeged, Pécs and five other cities. Tuition for non-EU students starts at €1,500 a semester at MATE's Kaposvár Campus and €1,800 a semester at the University of Szeged, and is mostly €3,000–8,000 a year. Most ask for B2 English, often IELTS 5.5. Each card shows fees, English level and deadlines from the university's own website.

FAQ

Questions about Hungarian universities, answered

Which Hungarian university is cheapest for Bangladeshi students?

On this page the lowest bachelor's fees are at MATE's Kaposvár Campus (€1,500 a semester for Film and Media Studies), the University of Szeged (from €1,800 a semester) and the University of Dunaújváros (€3,950 a year). The University of Miskolc lists €2,400 a semester for Business Administration and Management. Use the "Under €5,000" filter to see them all.

What IELTS score do Hungarian universities ask for?

Most ask for B2 English, which is usually IELTS 5.5: for example BME, Széchenyi István University, Semmelweis University, METU and Dunaújváros bachelor's. The University of Miskolc lists IELTS 6.0 and Dunaújváros master's IELTS 6.5. Some accept a Medium of Instruction certificate (BME) or check your English in an online interview (BUEB, Miskolc).

When can I apply to Hungarian universities for 2027?

For September 2027: ELTE Computer Science BSc from 1 February to 30 April 2027, BUEB International Business Economics until 31 May 2027, IBS by 31 May, Semmelweis Physiotherapy until 31 July 2027 and Dunaújváros by 31 July. For February 2027: BME from 15 October to 15 November 2026 and IBS by 30 November. The Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship closed on 15 January in its last cycle.

Do I have to pay tuition before applying for the Hungary student visa?

Usually yes. The residence permit file needs proof of tuition payment. The University of Debrecen asks Bangladeshi citizens to pay a year's tuition plus a deposit before it sends visa documents, MATE asks for two semesters and Corvinus for the first semester or year. Check each university's refund rule in case the visa is refused.

Can I get a scholarship at these universities?

Yes. Stipendium Hungaricum, Hungary's government scholarship, gives free tuition, a HUF 43,700 monthly stipend, a dormitory place or HUF 40,000 a month and medical insurance. In Bangladesh it is nominated by the Secondary and Higher Education Division of the Ministry of Education. Most public universities here host it; IBS offers its own 10–100% scholarships and Széchenyi István University its SODA Scholarship.

What is the difference between public and private universities in Hungary?

13 universities on this page are public (state- or foundation-maintained) and 3 are private: METU, IBS and Wekerle Sándor International University. Private universities set their own fees and often their own scholarships; IBS degrees are awarded together with the University of Buckingham in the UK.

Is Sunrise Study Abroad an authorised partner of these universities?

Every university on this page is one Sunrise Study Abroad works with. Where we hold an official partner or authorisation letter, the card shows an "Authorised partner" badge with a link to the certificate.
